When I sat in the car belting this song outloud by myself I thought…wow.  I guess it takes the genderqueer black feminist love of a lifetime to make even the most overplayed, stereotypical, unimaginative, “baby-leave-yo-man-cause-I can-buy-you-more-bling-than-he-can” type songs TRANSFORM into a reason to pause and praise.
